Rev. Paul N. E. Teske has served as a “traditional” pastor and clergyman within a mainline denomination, Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, since 1976. A graduate of Baylor University and Concordia Theological Seminary, Rev. Teske’s training has also included the Lutheran Theological Institute in Oberursel, Germany, and Eastern Baptist Seminary in Philadelphia, PA. He pastored churches in the Republic of Panama and Ohio prior to going active duty as a Navy Chaplain in 1978 for twelve years where he served as chaplain to Navy Hospital Philadelphia; USS Reeves Guided Missile Cruiser, homeported in Yokosuka Japan; Navy Chief of Chaplains Staff; and the US Coast Guard Academy, New London, CT. He left active duty from the Navy in 1989 and returned to parish ministry taking a call as the Senior Pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church and School in Westport, CT where he served as Senior Pastor for 28 years. (He remained in the Navy Reserves for eight years retiring in 1997 as a Navy Commander.)
On May 7, 2004, while speaking to two hundred businessmen, Pastor Paul suffered a cerebral hemorrhage, immediately leaving his left side paralyzed. While in the hospital, God spoke to him and told him that he would be healed in twenty-one days. Upon leaving the hospital in a wheelchair, he was told by the medical staff that even after physical therapy, he would need to wear a leg brace for the rest of his life. However, twenty-one days after his stroke, Rivers, drove him to Baltimore, MD to attend a large healing crusade. On that Friday night, exactly as the Lord had promised, he was completely healed. Without any knowledge of his prior condition or healing, the minister leading the service called Pastor Paul and Rivers to the platform to receive “a call to minister healing and deliverance” and stated that thousands of people would be healed by Jesus through their ministry.
Since his healing on May 28, 2004, Pastor Paul and Rivers have traveled to over fifty countries on six continents to minister in a variety of venues including healing crusades in large stadiums; teaching, demonstrating and imparting the gifts they received to others in churches, camp meetings, Bible schools, seminaries and colleges; multiple appearances on television and radio; and they have witnessed thousands give their lives to the Lord as Jesus Christ confirmed the Gospel with signs, wonders, and miracles.
In addition to his healing ministry, Pastor Paul has been gifted by God to impart the “Father’s Love” into the lives of people who grew up with a fractured relationship with their fathers. He believes the most powerful relationship in a person’s life is with their earthly father who ultimately shapes one’s view, good or bad, of God the Father. He teaches on how one can be restored with one’s earthly father and then how to open one’s heart to receive and an outpouring of the Heavenly Father’s love to restore trust in God and man.
Pastor Paul carries a truly unusual anointing; and because he is a “mainline” clergyman, he is invited across denominational lines to share his unique testimony as he preaches, teaches and demonstrates the Power of Jesus Christ. In his book, Healing for Today(Bridge-Logos Foundation), he tells his story which validates that Jesus Christ still heals today. His book has been translated into the Korean language.
Pastor Paul stepped down as Senior Pastor from St. Paul Westport in 2017 and relocated to Dallas, Texas. He will continue his global ministry of healing and deliverance and serve as a spiritual mentor to clergy and business professionals.
He and his lovely wife, Rivers, have been blessed with three grown children and three grandchildren.
